Dear participants of the CDEIT, 

In this announcement we give you important information about the conference,
in particular about the trasport from Brno to Krtiny, the conference trips,
and the choice of meals (regular/vegetarian). We ask you kindly to pay
attention when filling in the questionnaire below.


TRANSPORT FROM BRNO TO KRTINY
-----------------------------

We will arrange a bus for the participants from Brno to Krtiny on Thursday, 
October 14, 2010. Expected departure of the bus is about 17:00. All 
participants are invited to visit the Department of Mathematics and 
Statistics of the Faculty of Science of the Masaryk University in Brno. You
may leave your luggage there till the departure of the bus.

Please, let us know, if you plan to take this conference bus to Krtiny.


CONFERENCE TRIPS 
----------------

We arrange two trips for the participants of the conference on Saturday, 
October 16, afternoon. The price for the trip includes the ticket to the
caves and the bus. 

Trip 1: Punkva river cave (price 230 CZK)

Trip 2: Nuclear defense shelter in Vypustek cave (price 100 CZK)

ACCOMMODATION, ACCOMPANYING PERSONS
-----------------------------------

The accommodation in Krtiny is booked from Thursday October 14 (afternoon) 
till Sunday October 17. 

If you suppose to come earlier or stay longer in Krtiny or Brno, the
price for Santini hotel is 890 CZK for a single room and 1190 CZK for
a double room/night. You can also stay in Brno in Continental hotel,
Kounicova 6. The price is 1050 CZK for a single room and 1500 for
a double room/night.


MONEY EXCHANGE
--------------

The official currency of the Czech Republic is the Czech crown
(koruna), abbreviated as Kc, with the international abbreviation
CZK. The conference fee can be paid in Euro during the registration.
However, there is neither a cash machine nor an exchange office in 
Krtiny. We strongly recommend that you exchange your cash in Brno or 
Prague. (The conference fee covers all meals, starting with dinner 
on Thursday till lunch on Sunday.) 

The current exchange rate for Euro is 24,610 CZK and for US dollar 18,025
CZK (as of October 1).
