ICDEA 2003 - ISDE Awards

At this year conference it is the first time when the
International Society of Difference
Equations
(ISDE) awarded
the following three prizes:

The prize ($500) for the best paper on difference equations in the year
2002.
The winner is Mihaly Pituk (Hungary) for his paper
`More on Poincaré's and Perron's theorems for difference equations,
J. Difference Equ. Appl. 8, No.3, 201-216 (2002)'.

The prize for the best plenary talk given at ICDEA 2003.
The winner is Stefan Hilger (Germany) for his talk entitled
`The harmonic oscillator - an extension via measure chains'.

The prize for the best 20-minute or 30-minute talk given at
ICDEA 2003. The winner is Martin Bohner (USA) for his talk entitled
`An oscillation criterion for delay dynamic equations'.
The first mentioned prize was given by the international publisher Taylor
& Francis.
The winners of the two last prizes were elected by the participants of ICDEA
2003.
