Eduard Čech Institute for Algebra, Geometry and Physics

 

The Faculty of Science of the Masaryk University in Brno, the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University in Prague, the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and the Mathematics Institute of the Silesian University in Opava have jointly initiated a new centre devoted to the interplay of algebra, geometry and mathematical physics. It should support development and exchange of ideas throughout the Czech and foreign universities and institutes, and provide a meeting place for leading experts in related areas of Mathematics and Physics. This project has been launched within the scheme Projects of Excellence in Basic Research, the Contracting Authority is the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic.
