60 years of ODEs in Brno

Why do we speak about sixty years of ordinary differential equations in Brno? One of the first important papers on ODEs by Professor Otakar Borůvka, who is regarded as the founder of the "Brno ODEs school", appeared in 1956: O. Borůvka, Sur la transformation des intégrales des équations différentielles linéaires ordinaires du second ordre, Ann. Mat. Pura Appl. 41, 325–342 (1956).
