Excursions
- The town of Lednice – a chateau, a chateau park, a minaret, a cruise on the Dyje river. The town of Lednice is a part of a very famous area which was registered in UNECSO List of World Cultural and Natural Inheritance. The admirable chateau was built on the site of a former Ghotic stronghold. From 1370 it was almost entirely owned by the noble family Lichtenstein. They re-built the chateau many times, its present Neo-Gothic form comes from the last reconstruction in the years 1846–1858. The interior of the chateau is well known for rich wood-carving ornamentations, note the legendary spiral staircase in the library. Perfectly framing the chateau there is a French garden and a vast natural park with a unique collection of trees and numerous romantic buildings. Minaret is the most notable, it is the incomparable architectural monument, built in 1797–1804. Visitors can admire also more than 130 plant species grown in a greenhouse, the building of which is connected with the chateau. See www.jizni-morava.cz
- The Pavlov uplandsA limestone highlands with ruins of castles – the Girl Castles and the Orphan Castle. A walk tour with the views over the landscape with the bus connection to and from the site. See www.palava.ochranaprirody.cz .
