The 57th Summer School on General Algebra and Ordered Sets

THIRD ANNOUNCEMENT (updated 16.09.2019 - slides are added)

The conference topics include general algebra, universal algebra, lattice theory, ordered algebraic structures, and applications in logic and elsewhere. The conference schedule will consist of tutorials and invited lectures, 25-minute (incl. discussion) talks by the participants, and discussions. A videoprojector, an overhead projector and a board will be available (presentations in PDF are preferred).

Venue and Transportation

The Summer School will take place in Horský Hotel Soláň in Beskydy mountains. The area is located in the town Karolinka, 18 km east of Vsetin.

Please use one of the following two links to schedule your public transportation in Czechia. 

We recommend you to reserve your train tickets, in advance.
The nearest bust stop to our hotel is called “Hutisko-Solanec, Čarták, Sedlo”. Then, you should walk in this direction approximately 8 minutes to reach our hotel.

Please see some suggested connections below. We recommend you to choose the best one regarding your arrival. Be aware that, connections and timetables may differ up to your travel day. 

Getting directly to our hotel from:

If any of the above connections doesn’t fit you, we suggest first coming to “Velké Karlovice, rozc.Soláň” or “Rožnov pod Radhoštěm,aut.st.” and then take the bus 940073 or 940074.

These buses (940073 / 940074) both connect the towns 'Rožnov pod Radhoštěm' and 'Karolinka' passing by our hotel. In this case, you may find more possible connections.

Bus departures from Rožnov pod Radhoštěm,aut.st :

  • 940073: 06:20 / 08:15 / 10:00 / 13:15 / 16:00 / 18:20
  • 940074: 14:20 / 14:45 / 22:20

Bus departures from Velké Karlovice, rozc.Soláň :

  • 940073: 06:55 / 07:41 / 10:13 / 12:50 / 16:32 / 17:29 / 20:50
  • 940074: 04:42 / 15:35

If you are coming with your own car, please use one of the following links to get directions:

Some extras: There are numbers of grocery stores (Albert, Billa, DM), pharmacies, etc in the city centers of “Rožnov pod Radhoštěm” and “Karolinka”. Also, you may want to walk around, or -perhaps- you need to travel back to these cities for your return. For this aim, you can take the bus again 940073 / 940074 from Hutisko-Solanec, Čarták, Sedlo near our hotel for both cities. Please search the timetables regarding your necessity, from the links given above.

Registration

Registrations are officially closed. However, if you are really interested in late registration, please directly contact us via email.

Conference fee

Payable by bank transfer. The fee includes accommodation, full board in the hotel restaurant, coffee breaks and printed materials (for participants), and the social dinner. The first meal served will be supper on September 1, and the last meal will be lunch on September 7. Single rooms are no longer available for reservation. If you really need one, please contact the organizers.

Online registration and payment until 30 June 2019:
11 000 CZK double room (approx. 440 EUR)
Accompanying person (double room): 10 500 CZK (approx. 420 EUR)

Online registration and payment until 31 July 2019:
12 000 CZK double room (approx. 480 EUR)
Accompanying person (double room): 11 500 CZK (approx. 460 EUR)

The fee has to be paid by transfer to the Union of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists account (details will be provided in the registration confirmation e-mail). All payments must be free of bank charges to the receiver. Invoice will be sent by e-mail by the Union of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists after payment receipt. Should you have any special requirements concerning the invoice (pro forma invoice etc.), please contact us at the contacts provided in the registration confirmation e-mail.
