The tradition of the conference Differential Geometry and its Applications goes back more than thirty years and the forthcoming conference will be the 12th one in the series. The conferences take place regularly at one of the Czech universities every three years. The previous conference took also place in Brno, preceded by Olomouc in 2007, Prague in 2004, Opava in 2001, Brno in 1998 and 1995, etc. This time we shall further extend the diversity of the programme sessions completing the blocks of invited plenary talks. Along with the invited talks, there will be also contributions by the participants, in form of talks or posters, as decided by the organisers of the individual sessions. There will be never more than three sessions running in parallel. We hope, this will create a fine meeting for wide audience combining specialized talks with those of broader interest. The proceedings of the conferences were always published. Similarly as for the 2010 conference, Elsevier will publish a special issue of the journal Differential Geometry and its Applications containing the proceedings of the conference DGA2013. All articles will undergo regular peer review procedure following the same high standards as for contributions to regular issues of the journal. The status of the contribution in the conference does not influence the reviewing procedure. All participants will obtain a printed copy of the the special issue containing the proceedings. The organisers have secured funding of all overheads of the conference, so we shall be able to keep the conference fees at a reasonable level. The details will be communicated later, but we can claim already now, that all the fee covering materials, programme, daily catering, social events, and proceedings will be under Euro 200. At the same time, the special price for the hostel accommodation will not exceed Euro 100 for the entire week, including breakfasts. There will be funds for limited amount of PhD and postdoc allowances, too.
